A financial utility built around transparent data
MyNetPay was built by Tayyab Nasir, a software developer and automation engineer, to make paycheck estimates easier to inspect and understand.
Why it exists
Paycheck estimates are often presented as a single number without showing the tax year, filing assumption, state model, or exclusions. MyNetPay is designed so a visitor can see the calculation breakdown and follow the data back to official IRS, Social Security Administration, and state-authority material. The aim is not to make payroll look simpler than it is; it is to make a planning estimate easier to question and reproduce.
What the site is
It is an independent software project that turns published tax inputs into planning estimates and useful salary conversions. The calculator exposes its tax year, sources, method, and exclusions. Calculations run in the browser, and the optional content-drafting workflow is not the source of tax values or calculator results.
How the project is maintained
Rates, brackets, deductions, wage bases, verification dates, source URLs, support status, and known exclusions live in structured data. Changes are tested before the static site is rebuilt. A state result is described according to its implemented scope—for example, an annual resident income-tax estimate or a no-broad-wage-tax classification—and not as a guaranteed employer check.
What the site is not
MyNetPay is not a payroll provider, accounting firm, law firm, investment adviser, or government agency. Tayyab does not claim CPA, payroll, or tax credentials. The site does not invent employees, reviewers, certifications, awards, testimonials, or traffic claims. Results are informational and should be checked before an important financial decision.
How to help improve it
If a result appears wrong, send a reproducible example without personal documents or identifying information. Include the page, inputs, observed result, expected result, and an official source when possible. Source-backed corrections are welcome and can be turned into regression tests.
